Testing arranged properly
Asili is not a laboratory and not a clinic. Where testing is genuinely called for, we arrange it with people who are licensed to do it, and stay in our own lane afterwards.
How it works
- You ask. Tell us what prompted it. Nothing is ordered yet.
- A clinician reviews. A licensed clinician decides whether testing is appropriate for you, and may decline. That is a real outcome, not a formality.
- An accredited laboratory tests. The lab is instructed by the clinician and bills you directly for its own fee.
- The clinician gives you the result, with their interpretation. It does not come from us and we do not hold it.
- We add context. Where the atlas has population frequencies for a variant in your result, we provide them. Context, never a diagnosis.
What this is not
- We perform no medical testing and operate no laboratory
- We issue no diagnosis, no prescription and no clinical advice
- Nothing in the ancestry packages is a health result, whatever the variant
- Where we have no accredited laboratory and licensed clinician in your country, we will say so rather than improvise
Not available during the alpha. If a result from any of our reports worries you, take it to a doctor rather than waiting for us.
